The Oceanography Graduate Student Ambassador Program consists of volunteers interested in supporting students from a variety of backgrounds in career exploration around earth sciences. Our graduate students regularly meet with groups of students or attend events in order to engage in a dialogue around marine and climate related science topics and careers, provide examples of the different routes into science, and answer questions about the field or the undergraduate and graduate experience. This program is especially interested in serving community college audiences and programs that serve young people who are traditionally underrepresented in science, technology, engineering, and math related fields.
