Congratulations to Kay Bidle! He has been awarded the Rutgers Faculty Scholar-Teacher Award for the academic year 2021-2022. Kay’s research focuses on the functions and interactions of marine microbes and the role these organisms play in driving Earth’s biogeochemical cycles. His broad interests have intersected all three domains of life bacteria, archaea, and eukaryotes and combines oceanography, environmental microbiology, physiology, cell and molecular biology. He incorporates this unique perspective into his teaching, allowing him to engage and connect with students with diverse interests and background. We are very stoked with this announcement.
