The Oceanography Graduate Student Association (OGSA) was given university-wide recognition as the Graduate Student Organization of the year for a record-breaking two years in a row. Since its inception in 2003, OGSA has worked to supplement the graduate student experience with peer comradery, networking, and community engagement. The nomination for this award cited contributions to local outreach, including five interactive Rutgers Day science exhibits, running weekly departmental seminars, hosting events that bring together students, staff, and faculty, and the undergraduate mentorship program. OGSA members are happy to ring in their 20th year with this esteemed honor!
