Congratulation to Fernando Pareja Roman who is being promoted to Assistant Research Professor. He is a physical oceanographer working on ocean-atmosphere interactions. For this work he uses numerical models of ocean, atmosphere, and waves. His work focuses on understanding how the ocean and atmosphere processes that impact a wide range of processes that effects human society. His work is funded by several agencies including the US Coast Guard and the New Jersey’s Department of Environmental Protection. We look forward to the great work and exciting results Fernando will develop.
Congratulations to Natalie Umling who has been promoted to Assistant Research Professor. She joined us as a post-doctoral researcher in 2022. Her core research is on understanding how changes in large scale ocean currents affect the transfer of CO2 between ocean and atmosphere carbon reservoirs and thus modulate global climate. She is a great addition to our team, and we are lucky to have her staying with our research family.
