Bob Chant (left) has been awarded the 2015 Research Excellence Award. This award is given annually to faculty members and takes into account:
- Socio-economic significance of his/her research program
- Compatibility with Rutgers’ overarching areas of academic opportunity
- Utilization of interdisciplinary resources
- Sustainability and recognition, as evidenced by grants, awards, or through acknowledgement by peers, industry, government, policymakers, or the general public
- Quality of publications and presentations
- Demonstrated excellence in research processes and procedures
- Initiatives that promote general understanding or engagement with his/her research
Scott Glenn (middle) and Oscar Schofield (right) have been awarded the 2015 International Excellence Award. This award is given annually to faculty members and takes into account:
- Development and implementation of creative international teaching initiatives
- Impact of international teaching effort as evidenced through acknowledgement by students (undergraduate or graduate), peers, or the local community.
- Contributions to the internationalization of our SEBS community through the creation of international research partners, enhancement of our international student community on campus, or increasing our presence on the global stage.
- Sustained excellence in international research activities
- Demonstrated impact in the community abroad where the work was done
- Demonstration of leadership in the international teaching or research endeavor
- Initiatives that foster international and global engagement
- Efforts leading to strong, productive, and sustained institutional partnerships with international collaborators
