Congratulations to Lauren Cook for winning the Northeast Division (NED) American Fisheries Society (AFS) Special Achievement Award! The award recognizes outstanding professionalism, active resource protection, and enhancement programs, as well as a strong commitment to the mission of the American Fisheries Society.
Lauren served as President of Rutgers AFS Student Subunit, followed by a position as the Student Representative of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter (MAC) of AFS. They mentored the student who is now president of University of Delaware AFS Student Subunit. They lead a team to create new activities for community outreach during Rutgers Day and brought students together at the MAC-NED Joint meeting this year. Kudos, Lauren!
