Switched to do 2 yo’s to 100 meters, climbing to 30 meters to avoid the surface a bit and try to make some more progress. Think that should take ~38 minutes. No comms set for 45 minutes now.

Also put in new WPT more to the east and right at the coast to try to find a lee

Trying a quick thruster leg too.

RU29's CTD sampling changed to climbs only as to not interfere with acoustic data.

Once glider surfaced from initial leak, leak detect started to slowly climb. After 35 minutes, it made it’s way above 2 and then after sending the mbd (so maybe ~1 hour after surfacing) it was up to 2.39. Seemed to level off around 2.4, was high 2.4's throughout deployment thus far but that's more likely noise on the AD circuit. Minimum value after abort was triggered was 1.31.

Triggering forward leak detect while on the climb at around 140 meters is interesting.

My theory thus far is that once the glider got to the surface, it warmed up, evaporating some of the water and the dessicant absorbed the moisture.

Testing driving now to gradually deeper depths. So far 20 and 50 meters dives have not caused another abort.

Leak detected in the forward compartment of RU29.
Placing glider into drift mode.
m_leakdetect_voltage reads 1.5864~ at the surface.

Changed CTD to just upcasts so we get better pressure data for heavy surfacings. New goto to go N-S between Northern edge of St. Lucia Passage and 2 km from the St. Lucia EEZ.

Glider ballasted heavy. Thruster works short test.

1020 is probably minimum density it can operate without thruster.

Station kept overnight while planning mission.
