Lithium Ion Set: Challenger

Created by: dkaragon @ 2020-12-01 15:03:04Informational

Lithium ion post-analysis.

Pack for this mission was ru29 challenger set.

Pre charge level was 226.916 AH. Power used by glider was 186 AH. Power reported by batteries was 24.36 AH. That says 202 AH was used by the batteries, 186 vs glider. Disagreement of about 16 AH or the glider read low by 9%.

DMCS network went down about 8 AM 11/19 so gliders we're found via visual and freewave. Not all files tbd sbd caught up before recovered.

previous note's test

leaving on 1 hour missions post test above, after first hour shutting off science for baseline power draw swimming

Back and forth along axis C, ME.

Bearing to C,ME 43T.
Convert to magnetic. NOAA says today 12.47, glider 12.6, using 12.5
M = T + V; T = M - V

43 T + 12.5 = 55.5 M = 0.969 rad
223T + 12.5 = 235.5 M = 4.110

(note may have done previous test calculation wrong, subtracted 12.5 not added)

~ 1.4 km box station keeping, no wpt surfacings. science low power turned off, not working... maybe can diagnose why tues or wed

Created by: dkaragon @ 2020-11-13 14:28:59Informational

U_science_low_power 45 not working at all seemingly. Misjudging and not turning off?

Will try it at 0 see if that does anything. If that doesn't I guess see if it hitting 'surface' is causing it, but all sensors set to state 7....

Created by: dkaragon @ 2020-11-12 15:36:01Informational

Low power mode: ctd's every +5th yo, U_science_low_power 45, TBDlist.dat to basically 6 sec all the time for most sensors.

Talked with Joe decided to do a line west of buoy. Waypoint surfacings for now, may change that later if too many surfacings.

pathfinder on next surfacing, 5 pm

Begin of some L3 testing. TBD to every 4th instead 3rd to keep surface time down during station keeping.

First note is for back and forth test : 100_sk2.mi

Bearing to C,ME 43T. This gives perp line as 133T and 313T
Convert to magnetic. NOAA says today 12.47, glider 12.6, using 12.5
M = T + V; T = M - V
133T --> 120.5M = 2.1031 rad M
313T --> 300.5M = 5.2447 rad M

11/2 ~ 8 gmt, something interacting with it, take a look at recovery. Seen that a few times, on climb.

u_reqd_depth_at_surface to 1.75 m. Will keep an eye on it for now, but pressure sensor seems alright.

Set fin db back to .04 from .06 and adjusted fin limits accordingly. Not swimming very straight ( course over ground). Steering is so-so.

Repeated DVL with success. No errors or problems. Got an 18 sec pd0.

DVL off for now.

Created by: dkaragon @ 2020-10-16 01:32:50Informational

DVL pd0 errors --> science abort on 2 attempts at 100_nw. Shallow.mi seemed to run OK.
pd0's created but other logs are 0 bytes.

DVL off in proglets since deployment.
