Coming out of the shipping lanes. Resumes climb to depth to 5m and surfacing interval back to 3 hrs. Using fast script 4x to catch up on data transfer. Arena
Changed surfacing time to 6 hrs, climb to depth to 20m, and switched to the slow script as we are entering the shipping lanes. Arena
Changed Climb_to_arguments => c_bump_value to 180 to help balance the dive and climb rates. Also changed surfacing interval to 6 hrs and climb depth to 20 m for the shipping lanes. Arena
On 25 August 2019 the sampling rate of the flourometer was changed to every other yo to conserve energy. Arena
On 23 August 2019 the southern most way point was changed to 39 53', -71 36'. This was done to try and get two laps of a triangle before the batteries need to be charged. Arena
Deployed by Wendell Brown, Rich Arena, Kate Tremblay, Mitchelle Agnosi (SMAST), Captain Ray Rock aboard the R/V Luck Lady out of Fairhaven, MA.
Switched from 1 hr to 3 hr surfacings. Also backed off on pump from 260 cc to 230 cc to slow it down a bit; no rush to shelf edge. Roll still very heavy from 5-10 degrees; appears to be averaging ~7 (down from 10 degrees on first shallow mission). Fin is working hard to compensate. Glider will likely be slower and use more power. Flying a decidedly "drunken" pattern rather than a straight line.
