Aborted near bottom of dive -- underwater reset-?
Retrieved last sbd file and moved large sbd files to sentlogs
Resequenced 1k_n2.mi
Made progress to NNE yesterday. Set waypoint to turn NW -- currents have slowed a bit to ~24 cm/s
Vehicle making way and heading ENE. Set new waypoint to turn vehicle more to N. Currents also abating a little (32 cm/s)
Set waypoint to NE to try to break out of strong SSE currents (>40 cm/s depth averaged 0-950m!)
Redeployed at the BATS site on 16-Jun-2018 by AE
Dialed up pump over the weekend to fight currents. Now set to full throw : currents > 35 cm/s
Tail fin replaced and redeployed at BATS by AE. Fish hit was confirmed by teeth marks.
Put Minnie on the surface to avoid drifting further east with the currents. AE will attempt recovery tomorrow afternoon.
Appears to have lost tail rudder last night. m_fin responding to c_fin, but m_heading shows slow clockwise spiral. Strong currents sweeping vehicle to SE. Everything else appears normal. Asking AE to recover on BATS cruise this week.
Full pump throw to battle strong currents (>30cm/s)
Recovered by AE on weekend with both wings intact. Shifted one rail weight from stbd to port and added an extra weight to port. Redeployed by AE on 29 May at Hydrostation by AE. Flight characteristics improved (roll more stable).
Double yos to 950m, pump -170 / +170
CTD/optode/flbbcd on for dives
CTD/suna on for climbs; Suna turns on at 650m
Appears to have lost port wing on 2nd dive yesterday -- AE will take a look on Fri or Sat.
Turned off SUNA on dives, flbbcd on climbs to counter science super errors (sampling too many sensors)
Minnie was deployed on Wed am at BATS by R/VAtlantic Explorer.
