Anna lost her fin about 6-8 hours before peak storm. It was lost at surface within 5 min of surfacing. No hints as to what happened.
Recovered by Ruth Curry aboard RV Atlantic Explorer after drift profiling
Spin tests and normal flight no change in heading rate of < 3 deg / sec, very slow --> symptom of fin loss
Glider recovered by Ruth Curry aboard RV Atlantic Explorer. Rudder was missing upon recovery, no other noticeable damage.
RU main DS was acting up transferring files so the glider performed 200 m dives through the night.
Around segment 2014_286_8_58 the fin appeared to stop having a response.
