Wrinkle noticed in diaphragm 7/12/2012, not sure how long it was there.
2007-01-22 tpatters@webbresearch.com: installed digifin
Glider recovered by Tom Wazniak out of Chincoteague inlet on their Parker.
Leaving glider on for possible run down test.
Progress good in fighting currents, relaxing waypoint and slowing glider down to save power.
Turned CC off last night, it has helped us make progress north but actually too much so changed the waypoint south to help fight the currents.
Turned Science off
Switched to SBD only transfers and backed off CTD sampling.
No point transferring TBD with pressure sensor problems also allowing us to lose to the currents. Lets see if we can place hold better.
Empty mbdlist.dat doesnt affect CTD or overrun for that matter.
Put ctd on every other yo.
Temp data shows that it could just be the pressure sensor that is causing problems.
Tried resequencing mission, restarting vehicle to no avail. Cycle overrun time at the surface is ~ 1 sec. We should add that sensor to the SBD.
CTD acting funny, showing:
279.26 sensor: sci_water_pressure = 0.233 bar
279.30 sensor: sci_water_cond = 4.0701 S/m
279.35 sensor: sci_water_temp = 16.1199 degC
283.34 76 sensor: m_pressure = 0.000546508389434922 bar
287.50 77 sensor: m_pressure = -0.00197583802331553 bar
288.06 sensor: sci_water_pressure = 0.233 bar
288.11 sensor: sci_water_cond = 4.07036 S/m
288.16 sensor: sci_water_temp = 16.1235 degC
At the surface. Resequenced on 2 hour missions, lets hope it clears?
CTD pressure sensor acting up, just like on ru16 NJDEP deployment. Removed from mission and re-sequenced to see if fixes by doing \'nothing\'.
Sending shallow to start making progress again.
Sent to next waypoint.
Glider too light for deep water. Trying 30 deg pitch.
RU15 still getting very close to surface and occasionally breaching, set climb to depth to 4.25 in yo. Also trying to reduce science oddities, changed intersample time to 1 in sample01, 10, and 12.
Changed tbdlist and mission (100_tn!w.mi) in the hopes on cutting down files sizes. On next surfacing the updated ma files will be sent over.
Completed 2 one-hour missions switched to 3hour timeout expired, 4hour no comms. Running 100_tn!w.mi
Glider was deployed aboard the SeaTow Cape Hatteras by Dave Aragon. CS and ECE members were also present to run tests on MRI2.
This glider is also equipped with the Vemco fish finder courtesy of Matt Oliver at the Univ. Of Deleware.
