Recovered by Chip Haldeman aboard MV Cape Hatteras

Created by: dkaragon @ 2011-10-26 16:15:04Informational

Scheduled for recovery, turned off TBD xfers.

Glider calling TWR. Script on to move back to Rutgers.

Created by: dkaragon @ 2011-10-24 11:20:21Informational

Backed off height off bottom a bit and slowed the glider down on dives. Also backed surface off a bit as we\'re getting close to surface. Changed to new 7.8 sbdlist.dat

Some light bottom sampling. Analyzed one impact and if its useful for someone:
m_water_depth = 20 m
impact occured (by glider pressure) = 18 m
geometry of aft pressure = .6 m above nose
==> bottom = 18.6 m ==> ~ 1.4 m discrepancy with glider

C. Haldeman redezvous 10/23 12 est to add weight to the vehicle in new set of wings and pickpoint.

Glider sent on its way offshore to complete mini-Eline.

Sampling on puck changed to every 6th yo, every other yo on optode to save power.

Diving deep again, forgot to do it last night 10/18

Puck is sampling every 4th yo.

Glider re-tasked to do the mini-Eline as during/after Irene.

Trying 3 hour missions to get through these currents.

Some bottom sampling last couple days on and off. Caught it early and increased depth off bottom by 1 meter.

Not sure if waves are causing it or last minute altimeter hits that are showing the bottom deeper than what it should be. Analyzing m_altitude may reveal if turning off the filter would help or hurt.

Also as of last note, the puck has been sampling every other yo, up and down.

Tried to run some tests to get it to fly better. Particularly disabling integrated heading gain for fin, but it looks like it didn\'t work out too well. Lets hope overnight it keeps going in proper direction.

Vertical velocities really aren\'t that bad so not sure why its not flying terribly well.

Tweaked SBD a bit to get results, also upped max delta battpos. Diving at 30 deg.

Chip changed TBD back to 4 sec every other, and SBD pressure back to 32 sec

+180 cc and 4.25 from surface, we might be close to breaching.

CTD pressure started working after a couple segments, nothing was done manually. The glider was transferring files and was disconnected. The next data segment showed proper CTD data.

Next surfacing will turn the SBD and TBD back to their previous.

Changed SBDLIST to have 4 sec every other yo m_pressure, CTD pressure to 12 sec to save xfer time. This is preemptive move.

Created by: dkaragon @ 2011-10-07 11:20:14Informational

Glider didn\'t move much during deployment, checked about 9 pm est 10/6 and it was heading NE. Changed to next waypoint to head SW. Looks like we deployed a bit south of where we thought we would.

Changed TBDLIST to 4 sec data due to file size.

2 hour missions

Dimple appears to be from sand. Vacuumed and removed sand and seems to be fixed. High vacuum and storage placed for glider.

Created by: dkaragon @ 2010-05-10 15:00:50Informational

Wrinkle noticed in bpump middle right side (port for glider). It was easily rubbed out.

Dimple noticed on right upper side (port upper) that appears to be something behind the diaphragm.
