via ioosdh@marine:

Morning all,

Glider Bass just aborted at 0953 UTC due to what appears to be a
small but nonetheless crippling leak. Possibly a bladder leak based
on previous experience.

Current position is 2715.159 N -8556.259 E about 175nm West of
Sarasota, FL and drifting due South. Positions will update every 30 min.

This is outside the range for our 36\' vessel. Chad and I discussed
pickup by R/V Weatherbird on their way back into port however they
are currently about 30 miles from the DW Horizon site collecting
samples so that can not happen until Friday.

If anyone in the community has a vessel in the vicinity please
contact Chad Lembke or myself if you are able to assist in glider recovery.

Thanks,

David K. Edwards
