Lithium Ion Set: MARA/Hurricane
Comparison CTD cast on recovery with ballast tank laptop and SB19 s/n 1645.
Recovered by Chip Haldemand & Nicole Waite aboard RV Rutgers out of Tuckerton. Recovered 12 est.
Catching up on files, reported to be brown and slimy.
accidentally turned on sensor just dive script which turned science off starting 11/4 11pmest
Didnt change TBDlist to match new optode sampling regime, fixed it.
22 deg pitch, ctd & optode every +7th yo - in effort to begin conserving power
Reducing SBD list as we come back into shallows. New steering settings better, less integrated, more derivative.
SBD only transfer avoid hangup --> beh abort (science logging).
Changed SBDlist to a minimum to get file size down, still not much smaller due to steering data, will reduce that soon.
Changed fin ap from 12 to 8 sec, not steering very well.
Pitch up to 25 degrees but still with 4 deg DB. May lower that at some point to speed glider back up.
Fin deadzone from .06 to .04 again, cuts off too much hardover fin, need it all.
Science transfer --> hangup --> sci error opening log files ---> beh abort
Becoming more commonplace? Because of seas?
Turned dmon and ctd off and surface see if that helps.
More research to do.
Set optode sampling interval (on optode itself) to 8 sec - was 4 sec - to see if it will help with power savings. verified that this did not cause errors on the glider by doing loadmission ctdon.mi, put c_oxy3835_wphase_on 1, and verified we got optode data every 8 seconds.
*note Ctrl-J doesn't work as normal - 'Ctrl-J' must be typed out. Use the following commands to do make optode changes through sfmc - worked in regular terminal, didn't need to do it in the port terminal. May need to issue commands a few times for them to go through.

Hung up called back fairly quickly, minute or 2 on duplicate line. Then proceeded with mission abort:

Going another quarter meter on either side; still turning on surfacing behaviors at top of a number of yos. Climb-to to 4.25 m, u_reqd_depth_at_surface 1.75 m. Leery of going beyond that on the top end; any further changes will be in climb-to.
u_reqd_depth_at_surface set to 2 m; should neuter surfacing behaviors at top of yo. srf_display + u_reqd_depth_at_surface; all by script. Regular script re-enabled for next surfacing.
Climb-to to 4 m. Would like to lower u_reqd_depth_at_surface to 2 m.
!!! u_reqd_depth_at_surface 2.75 !!!!
Trying to get better near surface CTD data. Maybe helps with electronic noise for DMON too.
u_pitch_ap_deadband = 0.07 rad: 4 deg from 3 deg. Noticed last mission a couple yo's had some battery movement. Lets limit that.
Will need more data to see how the pitch manifests but may need to lower from 26 deg to 25 to keep pitch angles modest.
Changing TBD to every 2 for optode and 8 sec for all sensors. Was large. This mission science transfer dominated by DMON file.
Occurred after hangup during file transfer.
