Optode 972 sent to Aanderaa for re-cal / post cruise check
Glider recovered by Chip Haldeman & Dale Haldeman onboard Fish n Chips out of Barnegat, NJ.
Bear is in the igloo.
Glider underwater for 19 hours, came up in initial, had reset underwater.
Data shows bottom sampling and the like, recovery imminent.
RU16 calling Webb, aborted for MS_ABORT_NO_TICKLE
Called at 9:15 EST, sequenced mission and went on its way.
Logs tranferred from TWRC dockserver to RU-COOL
dockserver.
Still sampling problems, acting very finnicky.
TBD is affected too.
can get it to sample as fast as possible but not any faster than that.
Trying all sensors at 0 sampling rate, hopefully glider not overloaded.
UPDATE: worked at 0, glider seems ok, sending for longer missions due to storm currents.
Bottom sampled a lot of the weekend. I am not sure if it was storm related because we had hits but it hit 5 meters above the hits.
Not sure if thats lag or waves.
Tried to sample sensors less and for some reason everything got shut off. Restarted mission hoping to fix that problem, not going to change sampling via ctrl^f anymore.
messed up gain value for pitch, set it when I shouldnt have to positive value, meant moving batt wrong direction to correct
flying well now with fixed battpos, pitch looks good, heading mediocre, might be candidate integrated error tuning
u_alt_min_depth set to 12 to help with false hits over the canyon, hopefully helps on next pass come sunday
might need to back off on that value when we get shallower
Flaky altimeter performance on this glider.
Replaced stock altimeter with ru27\'s.
NJDEP run:
Deployed: Sandy Hook, NJ
Target: Cape May, NJ
Deployed by haskins and miles aboard NOAA
vessel (John Manderson).
Science Payload:
ctd-101
bbfl2slo-600
optode-972
Determined RU16\'s altimeter is still not working properly. On 4/30/10 entire glider was sent to Webb to see if they could fix the altimeter. Altimeter for this glider has never worked properly.
