recovered aboard NJDEP vessel out of Atlantic City by Dave Aragon, Sal Fricano (undergrad student), and Captain Rodney.
CTD cast performed with unpumped SBE19 s/n 1581 - glider segment 0453.0021
optode and CTD on most of the time to make sure no optode errors before recovery
u_science_low_power still set
Science on 1st yo only, TBDlist updated to reflect.
u_science_low_power 30
shut science off after the behavior error abort (The surface_4 behavior entered B_ERROR state.), segment 0449.0000.
Thought was that science was causing the problems.
After looking at the mlg from the science super abort (0448.0003) (see previous comment), not sure if science is the problem. So, turned science back on for now.
ABORT HISTORY: total since reset: 11
ABORT HISTORY: last abort cause: MS_ABORT_DEVICE_ERROR
ABORT HISTORY: last abort details: The science_super device driver returned an error.
ABORT HISTORY: last abort time: 2019-10-19T02:02:42
ABORT HISTORY: last abort segment: ru28-2019-290-3-3 (0448.0003)
ABORT HISTORY: last abort mission: 30_NW.MI
downloaded 04480003.mlg, abort happened immediately after opening the log file, glider never swam. The segment prior to the abort had no science_super oddities. Not sure what is going on yet.

CTD off at surface
Hitting bottom a bit on the FF banks. Backed off max altimeter to 6.75, if that doesn't work have to shallow the pitch angles. Appeared like it was getting bottom --> surface reflections in quick plot.
Increased logging level for LISST. Post recovery look at NLG and give feedback to TWR on the LISST errors seen during mission.
currents subsiding. Headed to southern-most offshore waypoint of DEP transect, and then will run the zig-zag backwards up to Atlantic City.
LISST back to every 9th yo.
current correction back on
noticed science super oddities started increasing a lot starting on Oct 8.
mlg 0442.0189 show LISST errors:

backed off LISST to every 6th
Overdepth abort - backed yo off to dive-to 25.5m.
Current Correction Off - waypoint 73 48.057 w 39 17.628 n
Trying to maintain transect line as best as possible in the currents - hoping this will let us go offshore a bit while getting pushed south by the currents.
A little close to bottom.
From bathy appears maybe altimeter reading 1 m shallower (filter is off I believe).
LISST every 3rd yo
TBD back to every 3rd yo. LISST from -8 to -9 to match TBD (every 9th yo)
Changed to battpos dive climb see if any better.
Wobbly pitch with some overpitching, at least battery moved past stable point (more battpos foreward dives vs climbs), but still tipsy.
Trying fixed battpos.
Steering interesting, thinking heading deadband was problem so disabling that for now.
20min segment 0441.0028 to get a small .mbd to look at flight performance
Changed TBD to every 4th yo.
Wpt to clear tug and tow until these south winds and north currents change
RU28 switched back to primary number, RUDICS.
New IP address/server at Iridium, so added that to our firewall - hopefully that was the issue and RUDICS is fixed!
script on backup datahost number for RU28 also does not work to send .sbd files. Must transfer .sbd files manually
glider didn't connect to primary number (rudics) during deployment at all. Entirety of deployment thus far has been through back-up (TWR datahost) number (analog).
