Found slackening currents. Added another waypoint NW of present one to get vehicle in currents heading back toward home. Dives to 920 m, full pump throw, current correction off.
Turned current correction off. Aiming west to break through strong currents
Dives only to 500 m, full pump throw
Course correction turned back on yesterday. Vehicle is being swept by currents around center of AC eddy. Will try heading SW then W to break out on western side where currents are weaker.
Turned off current correction. Surface currents > 1 kt
Near center of AC eddy: reduced pump throw -200/+170. Heading to Hydrostation
Full pump throw to steer glider through strong currents. Heading SE to NW to cross center of Gulf of Cadiz eddy.
Passed BATS yesterday heading ~160deg.
On the edge of large anticyclone, sending NE ~120 km to survey across its diameter.
Back to full pump throw and heading N to Hydrostation
Full pump throw to combat strong currents
Encountered bug with science unable to send back files (all 3 gliders experienced it within 12 hours). Fix is to cycle power:
put c_science_on 0
put c_science_on 1
Dives to 920 m, double yos, pump throw -200/+180
Altimeter off
DVL sampling on dives only; everything else on dives and climbs
