Glider miraculously went east over-night, worth investigating.
Recovered by Chris Jakubiak aboard RV Lucky Lady
Blue is suffering from the \'compass out of cal\' problem. We had first seen this in the Ross Sea on ru26d. Before deploying ru06 in the Ross, calibrating the old compass fixed it.
This glider has a usable compass range of 200 to 350 degrees. As far as which direction sends the glider where, 300+ appears to be northerly, moving west as you decrease.
Right now the glider is spinning in circles to hold position until we have a recovery plan. Then we can attempt some more north movement.
Increased heading data in the SBD to diagnose why this glider is not flying well.
Turned off CC
Optode did not respond to u4stalk tests after abort, it is still disabled in the mission.
CTD sample state 7 to save more power (not 15 (all the time))
Until we get the deployment and slow progress squared away.
ABORT was for optode error.
Not sure what was causing it, will have to diagnose tomorrow. Optode disabled for time being.
Also need to diagnose poor performance. Lowered surface inflection to 5 m, we were breaching a bit, see if that helps.
u_pitch_max_delta_battpos .045
tbdlist:
CTD: 2 sec, up/down
optics: 4 sec down
optode: 4 sec up/down
Changed optics to sample downcast only to save power, may extend that to optode every other down the road.
Added optode timestamp, only being issued to EBD however.
proglets.dat was not entirely configured for the oxy3835_wphase.
Corrected proglets.dat and optode wphase data is coming across now.
2 hour missions
You\'re my boy, blue!
