Glider recovered by Tom Wazniak, UMARYLAND.
Glider was unable to punch through on upcasts through freshwater plume. Glider pump was limited on positive side, increased it back to maximum and glider looks to be doing better.
Beginning to re-task to Kiptopeake recovery, likely next week. Trying to stay north and get inshore against currents to the ESE.
CC back on.
Turned CC off, major tides from full moon??
Turned CC back on 4/16 due to storm.
Turned current correction off on notoriously wobbly line
Switched to 100_tnu.mi for UTC lunchtime surfacing.
Decreased pump throw on climbs a bit more to slow ascents. Also gave it hardcoded waypoint list for entire MARCOOS run, after it hits waypoint, goto_l10.ma should be changed to -1 for memory.
Glider doing about 120 KB / surfacing.
~ 3% battery use / day is a good rate, no need to adjust optics sampling at this point.
Reduced pump through to + 175 cc on climbs to slow upcast down.
Abort was for GPS, resequenced, did not look at MLG.
Sampling both pucks every other downcast. We will see how the power looks at end of the e-line. Might have to switch to every 4th downcast which is more like what we did last mission.
Changed u_pitch_max_delta_battpos .04 to increase pitch control, changed yo to fly by pitch angle not battpos (was using the one from last deployment)
Changed tbdlist to write puck data on every cast in anticipation of duty cycling pucks.
changed nbdlist to get rid of sensors not installed to eliminate annoying error message. Also uncommented the pucks so puck data goes to NBD now.
Entire glider sent to Webb on 4/30/10 to be retrofitted with rechargeable lithium batteries.
