Entire glider sent to Webb on 4/30/10 to be retrofitted with rechargeable lithium batteries.
Check out these segments post-processing for storm? altimeter failures

RUDICS deployment
Deployed by Chip Haldeman, crew consisted of Capt. Shawn McWhorter and Michelle Lochhead aboard the MIV Dauntless - Ebb Tide Marine, Inc.
recovered with port wing loss. check when roll swapped and see if associated with buoyancy issue
Looks like density bouncing at surface.
glider was 1025 1023.25 at surface, 50-100 g would have caused this of perhaps sediment
good lbs-g piloting plot
drifted
messed up irid callback with callback 60 command.
Looks like glider may be full of sediment, causing it to not be able to surface without inflating air bladder. Checked ballasting logs - glider was ballasted well. Big storm last weekend freshened up the coastal waters.
Lots of iridium time (~400 minutes) overnight as glider was drifting.
ABORT HISTORY: total since reset: 2
ABORT HISTORY: last abort cause: MS_ABORT_SAMEDEPTH_FOR
ABORT HISTORY: last abort time: 2010-03-18T17:02:03
ABORT HISTORY: last abort segment: ru22-2010-060-4-252 (0141.0252)
ABORT HISTORY: last abort mission: 100_TN.MI
abort, glider was stuck at surface or -4 meters, not sure which. it tried to surface, got stuck and then did a dive, climb dive climb sequence before aborting for samedepth
check dbd to see if it actually was pulling pump in for dive/ climb sequence
put on mission with cop timeout set to short and lots of surfacings, 15 min and multiple no_comms
I think warm water increasing battery life, explains lengthened curve.
thats 2 things that affected completing the run. poor storm navigation/prediction and increasing battery life as moving south. it is about twice as warm as when we started
Retasking to ENE to bring her east more, not too much though, south is easy so lets try to get north before we commit east

Changed sbd to every 4th cast to lower filesize, 3/16 pm
changed waypoint to start moving nearshore
Had Chip change sbd to turn back on bbfl2 writing to sbd, accidently set it to not write just like bb3
sbd changed to downcast only for both optics pucks
kerfoot & aragon noticed dupe data written to SBD when pucks were turned off. This means the plots on web are off due to dupe data writing. Will change sbd on next surfacing, john investigating the plotting to see if fixable. email to webb regarding the matter
Turned off bb3 (sample12)
bumped bbfl2 sampling rate (sample10) to 1 sec, still only sampling downcasts
ctd @ 1 sec on all the time
change waypoint to 2nd waypoint in MARCOOS run
Moved waypoint more south for eline leg.
Set yo to 3.5m off bottom.
We are averaged 2-4 meters off bottom and altimeter is accurate to about 1m or so.
