Short Bio:

I am from Lafayette Hill, PA. I graduated from undergrad at Eckerd College, in St. Petersburg Florida, with a B.S. in marine science and a minor in computer science and applied mathematics.

At Eckerd, I have had great hands-on opportunities such as collecting water samples to measure trace metals (Pb, Zn, Cu) in Tampa Bay using FIO vessels and flame atomic absorption spectroscopy.  Additionally, I had the opportunity to teach myself the basics of R by collecting DO bottle data online and correlating ENSO events with surface dissolved oxygen levels off the coast of California using R graphing and correlation analysis.

At Rutgers I will be studying operational oceanography. While at Rutgers, I hope to be able to continue this combination of marine science/oceanography and computer science, while gathering great experiences with marine technologies. I also have a love of sharks and scuba diving achieving my PADI open water scuba instructor certification during the summer of 2023.
