Short Bio:

I grew up homeschooled in the beautiful Hunterdon County, New Jersey, which fostered my love for nature and discovery. This led me to majoring in Environmental Science at Raritan Valley Community College, and Marine Science at Rutgers University. Before transferring, I interned with the RIOS program with Dr. Mike Acquafredda (now my advisor), studying ribbed mussel aquaculture. This is where I got hooked on aquaculture science, the focus of my graduate studies. Broadly, my research interests include restoration aquaculture, larval dispersal, bivalve ecology & physiology, and biophysical interactions. I am thrilled to be returning to Rutgers as a graduate student!

Area of study: Biological Oceanography
