Short Bio:
Howdy! I grew up in Dallas, Texas and I earned my B.S. in Marine Sciences from Texas A&M University at Galveston. As a RIOS intern in Summer 2026, I worked with Dr. Corday Selden to investigate how warming and iron limitation synergistically affect iron utilization in a Southern Ocean diatom. Now, I am a PhD student with Dr. Selden in the Rutgers University Marine Biogeochemistry Lab (RUMBL). In August-September 2026, I joined the Project S.P.I.C.E. research expedition in the Atlantic Ocean, where I measured microbial nitrogen fixation rates in response to salt finger mixing.
Area of study: Microbial Oceanography
