My research interests broadly include phytoplankton ecology, and my work has utilized satellite remote sensing and bio-optics. For example, my MSc thesis was focused on determining the impacts of wind-generated bubbles on remote sensing estimates of calcite in the Southern Ocean. For my PhD I will be working with Dr. Oscar Schofield. I am looking forward to getting out from behind the computer and into the field!
I grew up in NH and central NY. I obtained a BA in Science of Earth Systems from Cornell University in 2007, and an MSc in Oceanography from Dalhousie University in 2014. When not studying I really enjoy playing music.
