Post Doctoral Researcher
I am trying to create artificial oxidoreductase enzymes "from scratch". Most of my focus is allocated to characterizing computationally designed peptides that can encapsulate a four iron-four sulfur cluster (Fe4S4), which is the most profound inorganic cofactor in bioenergetics. My other interests include, but not limited to, origins of life, biogeochemical cycles, protein/inorganic x-ray crystallography and biophysics.
I was born in Raleigh, North Carolina and grew up in Raleigh and Seoul, South Korea. I attended Rutgers for both undergraduate and graduate studies. After finishing my PhD degree, I left New Jersey and worked as a research specialist/postdoc at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology for 3 years. Visit my personal webpage for details.
