Values are in degrees:minutes. Site 1 - Loveladies longitude : -74:07.029 latitude : 39:44.171 Site 2 - Wildwood longitude : -74:51.192 latitude : 38:57.219 Site 3 - Sandy Hook longitude : -73:59.026 latitude : 40:25.992 Site 4 - Tuckerton longitude : -74:19.458 latitude : 39:30.511 %------------------------------ Filenames are of the form Tot_RULR_yy_mm_dd_hhmm.tot where: yy=year (i.e. 98 for 1998). mm=month (i.e. 07 for July). dd=day (i.e. 01 for the 1st). hh-hour (i.e. 23 for 11:00 pm GMT). mm=minute (i.e. 00 for zero minutes). Each ASCII file contains 5 columns of data. Each row corresponds to a grid point in the surface current vector field. (999 indicates data dropouts) **The distance referred to in the following descriptions is that measured from the origin point (defined above) to a particular grid point. Col 01 : Longitude of the data point (degrees, negative for west). Col 02 : Latitude of the grid point. (degrees) ** All of the following velocity components are based on true east and north directions. Col 03 : East Component of the raw velocity field, positive to the east.
