Summary	We are analyzing cross-shore fluxes associated with coastal upwelling filaments in the Central-Southern California sector of the California Current System. We seek to resolve the occurrence, geographic extent, vertical extent, and persistence time of coastal upwelling filaments in a specific region of coastline. We also are quantifying the transport of volume, mass, nutrients, and plankton associated with individual filaments, as well as the net fluxes integrated along a section of coastline.
