To Pan:
-
Use your mouse to drag the image around to the area you wish to view. You may also navigate using your arrow keys.
To Zoom:
-
Use the plus (+) key to zoom in and the minus (-) key to zoom out.
To Save
- When in the Interactive page, you are not able to right-click and save the SST image. In order to save the image, you will have to go to the non-interactive pages. Then to save the image to your computer just right click on the image you want and choose "Save Picture As" or "Save Image As" (depending on your browser).
To Print:
While this Interactive applet will allow you to zoom in on a particular area within your browser, when you print the page, the entire area will print, regardless of what is showing on the screen.
Print Full Image
- We suggest you print the image from our static image pages instead of the interactive maps.
Print a Selected Portion
- If you have your own graphics program, you can easily crop and zoom in on an image and print it to your exact specifications. Simply save the image to your computer (see saving above). Then open the image in your favorite image program, like one you may use to look at photos. Any image/photo program will allow you to zoom, pan and crop the image to get exactly what you want.
- An even simpler idea, provided you are running Windows, is to capture a "screen shot" of your browser. While in the Interactive Map page, zoom in onto the area you wish to see, and press the "Print Screen" button. This will copy what is showing on your screen to your clipboard. Then in any program, (such as Paint, any graphics program, or word processor) simply "Edit" "Paste" the clipboard into your document. With a little practice, this becomes a cool trick.
