Google Earth KMZ files include automatically updating 24-hour, 3-day, and 7-day
sea-surface temperature composites, from the AVHRR instrument.

To access the temperature scale colorbar, click on the heading links. For example- 
"7 day Composite".

These .kmz files require Google Earth on your computer. Google Earth is free
to download from www.google.com/earth/index.html

Gulf of Mexico subset     horizon.kmz (no longer in production)
