neworb [parameter=value]
neworb converts the ASCII form of the orbital elements in orbinput to the dataset format that is stored in the file orbdata. These files are located in $SATDATA/satellite, where satellite is noaa-11, f-9, etc. neworb creates the dataset orbdata and thus overwrites any previous version of the file. It is usually only necessary to execute this function once for the creation of the orbital element dataset for a given (or new) satellite.
newoes is a shell script that runs neworb with inputfile= orbinput.
Specifies the name of the ASCII-formatted file of orbital elements. In most cases this will be orbinput. There is no default.
