DESCRIPTION
The Orbit panel is used to display the orbital swath of a selected pass or
passes over a given coast and latitude/longitude display. Only non-geostationary satellite
pass coverage can be plotted.
PANEL ITEMS
- Coast File
- This item is used to specify the name of the coast file to be used in the display. The
default is Coast, located in the pass directory. The user can change this by typing
in the full pathname of another coast metafile.
- Grid File
- This item is used to specify the name of the coast file to be used in the display. The
default is Grid, located in the pass directory. The user can change this by typing
in the full pathname of another coast metafile.
- Sensor
- This item is used to determine whether to accept the default sensor, avhrr, or to
specify a different sensor. Default sensors are defined in the file $SATDATA/SATSETUP.
- Specify
- This item is used to select alternate sensors to the default avhrr. Possible choices are
defined in $SATDATA/SATSETUP.
- Red, Green, Blue
- These items are used to display satellite swaths on the coast and grid displayed below
the panel in the given colors of each button. The relevant information for each pass is
displayed next to the button, showing the satellite, telemetry, pass date, start time, and
pass duration.
- Clear
- This item is used to clear the display of satellite swaths.
- Coast
- This item is used to display just the Coast and Grid files prior to
displaying any satellite subtrack. If not used, the coast and grid are displayed
automatically when a selected satellite pass is displayed.
- Help
- This item brings up this man page.
- Quit
- This item exits the panel.
