$PASSDIR/Master
$PASSDIR/Coast
$PASSDIR/Grid
These three files are used by xcapcon to draw satellite coverage plots in xcapcon. See orbit_panel. These files are created by the newsite script as part of normal TeraScan installation.
Master is the background map projection; Coast and Grid are the static overlays for this background.
Master is a 1000 line by 1200 sample image, with 8 kilometer pixels, based on an oblique stereographic map projection. The center for the map projection is taken from the file $PASSDIR/last_location, which is initialized by newsite.
Coast is generated from the wdb2.thin file, which contains reduced resolution coastline and political boundaries from the World Database II. Grid is a simple 10 degree latitude-longitude grid.
