$REFDATA/config/antenna.config
The antenna.config file contains the static configuration data for all polar tracking antennas supported by the TeraScan system. It also contains initial values to be used when the dynamic data for an antenna is first defined in the antenna.calib file. An antenna family in the file is indexed by antenna.type. The antenna type is defined in the system.config file setting [antenna-X]antenna.type, where antenna-X is the antenna associated with a telemetry chain. This file is used by the antenna command.
| Families: | |
| All SeaSpace antenna polar type families are defined in the file. Each family name is followed by 22 settings and has the following format: | |
| [typeid] | Antenna type family identifier. This may be a SeaSpace part number or a general description. Indexed by antenna.type of an antenna.index attached to a telemetry chain in $PASSDIR/system.config. A blank line ends the family. |
Settings: |
|
| Description | Text description of the antenna. Details about the antenna are listed. |
| Maker | Manufacturer name. |
| Size | Antenna dish size, in meters. Example: 1.2 |
| Controller | Text description of the antenna controller. Can be a SeaSpace part number or manufacturer's description. |
| Controller.index | Number describing the command set of the controller used by this
antenna: 0 = Telonics. 1= SeaTel ACU. 2= SeaTel 1893. 3 = Scientific Atlanta. |
| Controller.subtype | Each controller can have variation on the command set. This number describes which
variant is used on this antenna. For Controller.index 0 (Telonics): For Controller.index 1 (SeaTel ACU): For Controller.index 2 (SeaTel 1893): For Controller.index 3 (Scientific Atlanta): |
| Tracktype | Antenna tracking type: program -- antenna uses program track only. autotrack -- antenna uses program track with autotrack. |
| Telem.types | One or more names of the telemetry supported by this antenna, separated by
commas. Examples: hrpt,rtd,wefax,swhrpt,gvar,gms |
| Range.el | Tracking range of the antenna elevation motor, in degrees. Shown as two real numbers (minimum elevation) to (maximum elevation). |
| Range.az | Tracking range of the antenna azimuth motor, in degrees. Shown as two real numbers (minimum azimuth) to (maximum azimuth). Note that some antennas can rotate more than 360 degrees. |
| Step.resolution | This real number is the minimum motion change (in degrees) for azimuth or elevation. Wherever the tracking position changes over time by this angle, a new position command is sent to the antenna. |
| Step.interval | This real value is the time interval (in seconds) between hardware commands sent to the antenna. For example, if this value is 0.5 (seconds), azimuth and/or elevation position commands will be sent to the antenna every 0.5 seconds, if the azimuth and/or elevation pointing angle has changed by Step.resolution degrees. |
| Initial.az.orient | Initial antenna azimuth orientation, in degrees. A positive value means the antenna is orientated clockwise (east) of true north. A negative value means the antenna is orientated counterclockwise (west) of true north. The initial value is always 0.0. |
| Initial.az.lead | Initial time (in seconds) required to position the azimuth axis of the antenna. Initial value is antenna dependent. |
| Initial.el.orient | Initial elevation orientation, in degrees. A positive value means the feed must be lowered to be correctly positioned. A negative value means the feed must be raised to be correctly positioned. Initial value is always 0.0. |
| Initial.el.lead | Initial time (in seconds) required to position the elevation axis of the antenna. Initial value is antenna dependent. |
| Initial.az.park | When a pass is complete, that antenna is stowed (or parked). This value is the initial azimuth axis stow position, in degrees. A value of -400.0 means the antenna will not be stowed. |
| Initial.el.park | Initial elevation axis stow position, in degrees. |
| Initial.min.track | Initial minimum tracking elevation, in degrees. The satellite will not be tracked below this elevation. Usually set to 0.0 degrees. |
| Initial.threshold | Receiver signal strength (in counts) that signals that a lock has occurred. This initial value is used by the command autoalign. The receiver signal strength is shown as the Sig field of trackeye. The default value of 0.0 implies a signal strength of 50 counts. |
| Initial.counts.deg | Initial value of receiver signal strength counts per degree of antenna elevation change. Default value is 0.0 (no correction). Used by autoalign. |
| Initial.constants | Some antennas have calibration coefficients describing the azimuth and elevation drive assemblies. The initial values of 1 to 17 double precision real values can be defined. If the antenna has no coefficients, the word none is used. |
