Viewing TeraScan Images

TeraScan has three different data viewers.  The capabilities and uses of each are summarized below.

Viewer Description
TeraVision TeraVision is the windows-based GUI for displaying and manipulating TDF datasets as data images and overlays.

The TeraVision User's Manual provides a full description of TeraVision.

XVu XVu is the original TeraScan X-windows GUI for displaying and manipulating data.  It handles both TDF datasets and raw pass data. It's capabilities for handling TDF datasets are similar to those of TeraVision, with the added capability for manual navigation of the data. This is especially useful for adjusting the satellite pitch, when necessary (which is often the case for SeaWiFS passes).
Satellite TV Satellite TV (STV) can be used to display raw pass data as it is being received.  It can also be used to display raw data already received and stored on the pass disk.
