Overlays

blocksem - restructures the output from readsem to make it easier to work with. First, the SEM channels are resampled so they each have the same number of samples. This eliminates the need for the extra latitude and longitude variables, e.g., latitude_2, longitude_2, etc
coast - Creates a metafile for overlaying coastlines, rivers, and boundaries
coastfiles - Data generally extracted from either the Digital Chart of the world (DCW) or the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) World Database II (WDB2)
lsmask - Updates the land/sea mask database and generates this mask for the master image.
etop - Generates bathymetry/topography contour metafiles
llgrid - Creates an overlay metafile with a latitude/longitude grid
histograms - Data segment statistics and histogram file procedure
post - Creates a metafile of markers and labels from a points dataset
vectors - Creates a metafile of vectors, markers, and labels from a vectors dataset
convec - Converts components of 2-D vector to a different type and stores them as new variables into the same dataset.
streamplot - Creates a streamplot metafile from a vector field image.
llcontr - Creates a contour metafile from random data
llcontr2 - Creates a contour metafile from evenly spaced earth-transformed data.
legend - Create a multi-line text legend metafile based on input dataset
wedge - Create an annotated color wedge metafile
