Working With Datasets
contents - Lists dimensions, attributes, and variables of a TDF dataset
convec - Converts components of 2-D vector to a different type and stores them as new variables into the same dataset
copyatt - Copies attributes between TeraScan datasets
copyvar - Copies variables between TeraScan datasets
dumpmeta - ASCII dump of metafile variables in TeraScan datasets
editdim - Edits the built-in attributes of dimensions
editvar - Edits built-in variable attributes in TeraScan datasets
getinfo - Returns information about dataset attributes
getval - Print a single value from a dataset
histograms - Data segment statistics and histogram file procedure
impim converts to a Terascan Dataset (TDF) from PNG, JPEG, PPM, or TIFF formats. This command is useful for automatic generation of images in different formats.
mbslice slices input datasets at a user-specified millibar level, creating output datasets. Each variable to be sliced must have a dimension that is associated with a variable with units equivalent to millibars. Nearest integer checking is used to match the user-specified millibar level to what is actually contained in the input datasets.
resetorb - Resets/updates the orbital elements in a dataset
setattr - Adds or changes an attribute in a dataset
setval - Sets the value of one or more variables at a given dataset location.
timediff - Computes time difference between files
varname - Renames a variable in TeraScan datasets
zipvars - Compress datsets by compressing selected variable data only
