Outside of science I have a fairly wide range of interests. First and foremost I love being outside. My outdoors pursuits include trail running, climbing (rock, ice, etc.), and snowboarding. When I beat myself up running, climbing and sliding on snow I enjoy retreating indoors where I am usually either getting lost in the political blogosphere or reading non-fiction. Mixed into all of the above is a love for world travel.
