POSTDOCTORAL/GRADUATE STUDENT POSITION(S)
Marine Field Station
Institute of Marine and Coastal Sciences
Rutgers University

Individuals with interests in the early life history and habitat quality of estuarine fishes are invited to apply for postdoctoral/graduate student positions. The research will focus on young-of-the-year fishes in the Delaware Bay or in the Mullica River - Great Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve in southern New Jersey and includes access to the Institute's Long-term Ecosystem Observatory in 15 m (LEO-15) in the adjacent ocean. It is anticipated that these activities will focus on 1) evaluating the fish response to marsh restoration, 2) trophic interactions of piscivorous fishes, and 3) in situ image analysis of fish behavior and ecology. Ability to work with a team of postdocs, graduate students, undergraduate summer interns and staff is an important qualification. All post-doc applicants must have successfully completed all requirements for a Ph.D. degree. All graduate student applicants need to be successfully admitted to either Rutgers University's Graduate Program in Ecology and Evolution or Oceanography (see websites below). For information concerning these position(s), please contact Ken Able at the following address.
