REU Program

The REU program will start in early June 2010. During the first week of the program , the students will work in the Pinelands field station, and will reside in the newly remodeled dormitories (funded by the NSF).

The research station offers easy access to a wide range of characteristic pineland ecosystems, including pygmy pine forests, upland and lowland pine/oak communities, cedar swamps and aquatic and semi-aquatic habitats. During the first week the students will make field excursions into the Pinelands, will develop the research project and its experimental design, and will start their field experiments.
