There is no charge to attend the "Taking the Pulse" Public Lecture or Professional Development programs. However, pre-registration for these events is highly encouraged as the auditorium has a limited number of seats. Please contact Renee, (LSC's Administrator of Education Resource) at (201) 253-1322 to register. We encourage you to invite your colleagues and family.
Traveling to Liberty Science Center
Public Lectures
- Programs generally start at 10:00 am (check the schedule).
- Please plan to arrive at LSC by approximately 9:30am to check in and take your seat
- All are welcome to attend our Taking the Pulse public lectures. We do not recommend that children under 8 attend the lecture program (with the exception of the special October Halloween program “What scares me about the ocean”)
Professional Development Program for K-12 Educators
- We welcome all educators to attend our special professional development programs. This relaxed professional development forum is designed to help you bring the content from our guest lecturers back to your classroom. Our format encourages discussion among educators and scientists to learn from one another how better to integrate ocean content into established science, math, and technology curriculum.
- Your family is invited to tour the Liberty Science Center while you attend our professional development program. Prices for ticket can be accessed at http://www.lsc.org/visit/hours-prices. Please check with LSC staff at the registration table to make sure your plans for attending the Pulse offerings, floor exhibits, and IMAX movies all integrate well.
