Highlights

• Susan Ford was a visiting scientist and lecturer at the Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Qingdao, China and the Institute of Marine Environmental Protect, Dalian, China. She and Ximing Guo are participating in a joint NOAA-Chinese Academy of Sciences project to determine the cause of serious, recurring mortalities of cultured scallops along the Chinese coast.
