R/V Majid with Swath ADCP

This vehicle houses an ADCP and is towed by the R/V Caleta.  And ADCP (Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler) tells scientists about the three dimensional current movements from the ocean surface to the bottom.  This ADCP is towed in the Majid and gives current data throughout a transect, instead of at one point.
