Notable Scientific Results of the day |
MiniBat successful with new pressure sensor. Max speed 6.5 KT. Slows by 1/2 KT on dive. Adjusted tail fin down one notch, found to smooth out undulations. No positive effect by moving pull-arm. MiniBat found to surface on 6 KT drives, no way to change. However, 3-5 KT drives MiniBat performs with remarkably consistent undulations and profiles. Auto-pilot known to work for all speeds in 18m or deeper waters. Cable layback found to only be 2 x depth or less, otherwise, MiniBat will bottom out.
