Today's highlights:

Dense early morning fog due to cold upwelled water nearshore. Several boats unable to leave the inlet before noon burn off.

Caleta observes nearshore jet to south with high flurometery signal on inside of the upwelling front still shoreward of LEO-15. Offshore of the upwelling front, current are to the north. Caleta radios to Northstar 4 for bio-optical sampling. Northstar 4 samples a strong optocline perfectly following the thermocline.
