Hurricane Floyd Video Gallery

These short videos were taken during the night of September 16, just before the eye of hurricane Floyd passed over New Jersey.  Researchers Scott Glenn, Josh Kohut and John Fracassi went out into the storm to insure that our ocean sensing equipment was working properly.  The exceptionally unique data collected by our instruments can be seen below.

Scott and Josh analyze the CODAR antenna. The CODAR antenna in the rain. As the storm approaches, rain begins to hurtle down to the Earth. Driving on this evening was very tricky as roads became quickly flooded.
