Today's Atmospheric/Ocean Weather

Morning
Evening
ATMOSPHERE --- A generally gloomy day overall. It was cloudy all day with some brief showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Winds were generally weak and from the south, except for when the thunderbumpers came through (3:00PM to 4:00PM). Highs were around 75 while lows were around 70.
Plots of today's weather data from the Field Station are shown below.

OCEAN -- There is absolutely nothing going on in the ocean today. The physics has stablized (cold/saline bottom layer, and warm surface layer). The only currents seem to be tidal ones. The cold bottom water is within a couple miles of the beach. Things should get interesting tonight and tomorrow though, as a storm comes through.
