ATMOSPHERE -- Did I mention that today's weather is awesome again!? The north/northwest winds shifted to southerly this afternoon at about 10 knots. The southwesterly winds are expected to intensify tomorrow. The high today was 72 while the low was 58. That's pretty chilly for this area in mid July. Humidity was very low today also.

OCEAN -- The surface currents were mostly to the northeast today, which should bring up the cold water that is just below the surface tomorrow or Monday. Though the satellite image may look like an upwelling image with colder water near the coast, the water is 21 C or 70F, which is much warmer than upwelled water (low 60s/upper 50s).
