ATMOSPHERE -- HHH. Yep, the triple H 4th of July. 80 degrees with 90% humidity. Great beach day..... WRONG!! The southwesterly winds were strong enough to bring the recentlty submerged cold water back to the surface...

OCEAN -- The surface currents were mostly offshore. A strong upwelling front reappeared from Pt. Pleasant down to Ocean City, with the coldest water along Long Beach Island. Hazy, hot, humid, and frigid water.
