FIRe sensor deployment – 06/24/09

During this deployment, we had a very mixed group of participants. Not only did we have the usual glider technicians and students, but we were also able to bring four REOS students as well. We deployed both RU06 and RU24, one of which held the FIRe sensor, a one of a kind flourometer, which we were testing for the first time.

During this trip we were very lucky with the weather only encountering a slight bit of rain, allowing the deployment to go great. Both went off with out a hitch, and were set for great productive missions!
